Who We Are

Eco-Choice Africa was established in 2001 with a single mission: to be the most recognised, credible and ground-breaking consumer-orientated ecolabel in Africa.

Eco-Choice Africa is not a standards-setting or development organisation in the normal sense. Our standards are adopted from leading international consumer goods ecolabel standards recognised by the Global Ecolabel Network, before being adapted to reflect local, regional and national standards in South and southern Africa.

 

Our strength lies in the almost thirty years experience our team has in the implementation and audit of sustainability standards and our network of specialists across a range of quality, sustainability, audit laboratory and specialist services. Together, we offer and manage Africa's only ecolabel certification scheme for consumer goods while making concrete efforts to raise awareness of ecolabels and certification with consumers and industry alike.
